Mama’s Quick Spinach Dip

Here's a simple and quick step-by-step recipe for my classic Spinach Dip:


  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon Adobo seasoning

  • Pinch of salt and pepper to taste


  1. Thaw and Drain Spinach:

  • Thaw the frozen spinach and squeeze out excess moisture. You can use a clean kitchen towel or a fine-mesh strainer to do this. Ensure it's well drained.

  1. Heat Stove:

  • Heat stove to Medium with Butter

  1. Add Spinach:

  • Add the well-drained chopped spinach to the pot.

  1. Mix Ingredients:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, & adobo. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  1. Serve:

  • Remove from the stove and let it cool slightly. Serve with your choice of bread, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks for dipping.

Optional Serving Idea:

  • You can also create a bread bowl by hollowing out a round loaf of bread and filling it with the spinach dip. Cut the hollowed-out bread into cubes for dipping.

  • You can also add Cheddar or Mozzarella cheese to the top and bake in oven for 10 minutes to get a more crispier topping
